Dick Howard, a Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame inductee, became the very first member of the Ontario Soccer Hall of Fame in 2025. His career has been remarkable: he played in goal for Canada and several national teams through the 1960s and early 1970s, later moving into coaching and team management. He also became a familiar voice in the game as a television commentator and the author of numerous coaching books.
Dick introduced himself to our club in 2025 and quickly became an enthusiastic supporter at our Sunday morning matches, joining us afterward for our social gatherings. We were proud to name Dick an honorary ambassador to our Over‑60 Division.
